Absence

The ancient of power men’s hand. Videocreation

VideoArt that reflects on the passage of time, the relationship of man and the cycle of life and death, the importance of the natural environment, the link to earth ... A poetic narration based on the conservation of the legacy that Museum of Rural Life protects.

The pieces were taken by Ivana Larrosa and Ruth Somalo. The musician Fernando Martinez has created the soundtrack and the writer Jordi Llavina has proposed the selection of poems in catalan, spanish and english recited by Joan Margarit.

Poetry string together the photography that deconstruct the boundaries between home cinema, family memory and ethnographic documentary film, creating a dreamlike texture that contrasts with the hyper realism of stock images to communicate the viewer to an emotional and archetypal level.
